Tofu Fingers in Creamy Dip Recipe

AJI-GINISA® Flavor Seasoning Mix

Ingredients

Tofu Mixture:
  • 2 cups (420g) Tokwa, mashed
  • 1 Tbsp. (2g) Baking powder
  • 3/4 cup (105g) All-purpose flour
  • 1 pc. (50g) Egg, beaten
  • 1 Tbsp. (15ml) Sesame oil
  • 1/2 pack (4g) AJI-GINISA® Flavor Seasoning Mix
  • 2 cups (500ml) Cooking oil
  • 1/4 cup (35g) All-purpose flour
  • 1 pc. (50g) Egg, beaten
  • 1 cup (57g) Japanese Breadcrumbs
Dip:
  • 1/2 cup (118g) All-purpose cream
  • 2 1/2 Tbsps. (40g) Mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsps. (27g) Onion, white, minced
  • 1 Tbsp. (15ml) Water, filtered
  • 2 Tbsps. (5g) Parsley, fresh, minced
  • 1/2 pack (4g) AJI-GINISA® Flavor Seasoning Mix

Procedure

  1. MIX & SEASON. To prepare tofu mixture, combine mashed tofu, baking powder, flour, egg and sesame oil, and AJI-GINISA® Flavor Seasoning Mix in a bowl. Mix well.
  2. SHAPE & COAT. Form tofu mixture into fingers. Dredge with flour, dip in beaten eggs and then roll in breadcrumbs.
  3. DEEP-FRY. In a pan, heat oil. Deep-fry tofu fingers until golden brown. Drain oil using strainer or colander. Set aside.
  4. MIX. To prepare dip, combine all-purpose cream, mayonnaise, onions, water, parsley and 1/2 pack of AJI-GINISA® Flavor Seasoning Mix. Mix well until smooth.
  5. SERVE. Place Tofu Fingers on a platter and serve hot together with the creamy dip. Enjoy!

Cooking Tips

Fry in small batches, making enough room for your breaded tofu to cook thoroughly in a short amount of time. Frying in big batches will cause oil temperature to drop and result to longer cooking time and more oil absorption.
