5 Easy Seafood Recipes to Impress the Family

What makes this Filipino dish extra unique is its beautiful, breathtaking black sauce. Masarap, kahit mukhang kakaiba! This looks like a meal straight from a chef’s kitchen, but in reality, it’s a breeze to make! You can do it. Simple lang!

Start by cooking your pasta. Boil some water and follow the instructions in the packaging. Remember not to overcook it—we still want it to have a little texture! While that’s boiling, we can proceed with our sauce.

In a hot pan, drizzle in your choice of cooking oil and sauté your garlic for a couple of minutes. Then, add in your tomatoes, coriander, chillies, red wine, and squid ink. Give it 2-3 minutes to simmer. When it’s all good and steamy, add in your pieces of squid and mussels. Cover it with the lid and give the flavors some time to incorporate with each other. When the mussels have opened up its shells, it’s time to season!

Add in a dash of fish sauce, ground pepper, and AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning for a more Umami-linamnam taste! Mix in the pasta with the sauce, and it’s good to go!

Start by heating up your oil in a pan and fry your tuyo until it’s cooked nicely. Remove the excess oil and set aside your tuyo pieces.
