Just in case you didn’t know, July 6 is National Fried Chicken Day! This is the one day solely dedicated to crispy, golden and delicious fried chicken that Filipinos dearly love.
There is no curated historical information how fried chicken really started in the Philippines. Even so, fried chicken sure is one comfort food Filipinos love not only by kids but more so the kids at heart.
Celebrate this day and enjoy fried chicken whichever way you liked it.
Spicy Fried Chicken with Gravy
Craving for some spicy flare in your fried chicken? Try Crispy Fry® Breading Mix Spicy variant and achieve enjoy fried chicken with perfect crispness and hotness.
To start, wash 1 kg of chicken, pat dry then coat evenly with Crispy Fry® Breading Mix. Heat oil in a pan then deep fry the coated chicken until golden brown. Make sure to drain excess oil using strainer or colander to make sure its crunchiness will last long.
To complement, you may pair with the new Crispy Fry® Gravy Mix. So easy to prepare. Just mix water and Crispy Fry® Gravy Mix in a bowl, then pour the gravy sauce in a pot and simmer until thickened.
Et voila! Your homemade fried chicken and gravy are ready for your enjoyment.
Battered Fried Chicken
If you like thicker and fuller fried chicken with extra crunch, use Crispy Fry® Batter Mix.
So simple to prepare. Wash 1 kg chicken and cutting it into serving portions, then drain well or pat dry the chicken with paper towel before frying to avoid oil splatters.
Combine the batter pack of the Crispy Fry® Batter Mix with water then mix well and place the batter pack on a bowl or plate. Pour the content of breading mix on a separate plate. Coat each chicken with batter mix and then roll evenly one by one on the breading.
In a pot with heated oil, deep-fry the chicken pieces for 8-12 minutes or until golden brown. Drain excess oil using strainer or colander and you’re all set to enjoy fuller fried chicken with extra crisp!

First, coat the chicken thigh fillet with Crispy Fry® Original Breading Mix evenly. Crispy Fry® has the perfect blend of seasonings and made with high quality flour and starches which provides delicious taste and crispy texture to fried dishes.
