Meatballs with Gravy Sauce

CRISPY FRY® Gravy Mix

Ingredients

Meatballs:
  • 1 Tbsp. (10g) Onion, minced
  • 1 Tbsp. (10g) Garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup (100g) Button mushrooms, minced
  • 1 cup (200g) Pork, ground
  • 1/4 cup (50g) Breadcrumbs
  • 1 pc. (50g) Egg, beaten
  • 2 tsps. (10g) Salt, iodized
  • 1/4 tsp. (1g) Black pepper, ground
  • 4 cups (1000ml) Oil, for frying
Gravy:
  • 1 pack (20g) CRISPY FRY® Gravy Mix, diluted in:
  • 1 cup (250ml) Water

Procedure

  1. COMBINE. In a bowl combine onion, garlic, mushrooms, pork, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  2. MOLD. Get a handful of the meat mixture (around 60-70g) and form into balls.
  3. DEEP FRY. Heat oil in a saucepan then fry meatballs for 3- 5 mins or until golden brown. Remove the meatballs from the saucepan and pat dry with tissue paper to remove excess oil.
  4. SIMMER. On a saucepan pour the CRISPY FRY® Gravy & water mixture. Continue stirring until the gravy has thickened.
  5. SERVE. Transfer meatballs onto a plate then pour gravy all over and garnish with parsley. Serve & enjoy!

Cooking Tips

Remember to thaw meatballs before frying to avoid splashing of oil when deep frying.
