Chicken Pochero Meal for Kids

The Ajinomoto Brand Chicken Powder Mix


  • 6 Tbsps. (90ml) Cooking oil
  • 1/4 cup (35g) Onion, minced
  • 1 1/2 Tbsps. (15g) Garlic, minced
  • 1/4 kilo (250g) Chicken breast, cubed
  • 4 cups (1000ml) Water
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) Tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups (200g) Potato, diced
  • 2 cups (240g) Banana saba, cut into half
  • 1 1/2 cups (120g) Baguio beans, strips
  • 1 1/2 cups (120g) Cabbage, sliced
  • 2 cups (120g) Pechay Tagalog, sliced
  • 2 tsps. (10g) The Ajinomoto Brand Chicken Powder Mix
  • 3 Tbsps. (45ml) Fish sauce
  • 1/8 tsp. (0.3g) Ground black pepper


  1. SAUTÉ. In a casserole, heat oil. Sauté onion ang garlic until fragrant. Add chicken then sauté until light brown.
  2. BOIL & SIMMER. Add water and tomato sauce. Boil then add potato and banana. Let it simmer until potatoes are fork tender. Add baguio beans, cabbage, and pechay. Cook for 1 minute.
  3. SEASON. Add The Ajinomoto Brand Chicken Powder Mix, fish sauce, and black pepper. Mix well for 1 minute.
  4. SERVE. To prepare Chicken Pochero meal for kids, assemble 1 1/4 cups Chicken Pochero to a bowl. Then add to a plate 1/2 cup rice, 1/2 slice of melon, and 1 glass of water.

Cooking Tips

You may add canned pork & beans for a sweeter taste that kids will enjoy.
