Embutidong Asado

Sarsaya® Oyster Sauce

Ingredients

Asado Sauce:
  • 3 tbsp (35ml) Cooking oil
  • 2 cloves (6g) Garlic, minced
  • 1/2 onion (40g) White onion, minced
  • 1/4 cup (30ml) Soy sauce
  • 2 packs (60ml) Sarsaya® Oyster Sauce
  • 2 tsp (8g) Five-spice powder
  • 2 tbsp (30g) Brown sugar
  • 1 cup (200ml) Water
  • 4 tsp (20g) Cornstarch

Procedure

  1. REHEAT. Reheat leftover embutido using a steamer. Set aside.
  2. SAUTE. In a saucepan, heat cooking oil and saute garlic and onions until fragrant. Then add soy sauce, Sarsaya® Oyster Sauce, five-spice, and brown sugar until sugar is caramelized.
  3. SIMMER. In a small bowl, mix water and cornstarch until dissolved. Add the mixture into the saucepan and simmer until preferred thickness of the sauce is obtained.
  4. SERVE. Transfer reheated embutido to a serving plate then pour over asado sauce. Serve and enjoy.

Cooking Tips

Use medium to low heat for the sauce for it not to get too thick or burnt.
