Sizzling Burger Steak
AJI-SHIO® Pepper Seasoning MixIngredients
Burger:
- 1/2 kilo (500g) Ground beef
- 1/2 cup (50g) Onion, minced
- 2 pcs. (100g) Egg, beaten
- 2 Tbsps. (20g) Cornstarch
- 4 tsps. (20ml) Soy sauce
- 1 tsp. (4g) AJI-SHIO® Pepper Seasoning Mix
- 2 Tbsps. (10g) Spring onion, chopped
- 1 tsp. (5ml) Sesame oil
- 2 Tbsps. (30ml) Cooking oil
- 2 Tbsps. (30g) Butter, unsalted
- 2 Tbsps. (20g) All-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups (350ml) Meat stock or water
- 1/4 cup (60ml) All-purpose cream
- 1/4 cup (50g) Button mushroom, sliced
- 2 tsps. (10ml) Soy sauce
- 1 tsp. (4g) AJI-SHIO® Pepper Seasoning Mix
- 1 tsp. (3g) Spring onion, chopped
Procedure
- MIX & MOLD. To prepare the burger, combine ground beef, onion, egg, cornstarch, soy sauce, AJI-SHIO® Pepper, spring onion, and sesame oil. Mix well until combined. Form into 6 patties then set aside.
- PAN-FRY. In a pan, heat oil. Fry patties until browned on both sides. Set aside.
- SIMMER. To prepare mushroom gravy, melt butter in a pan. Add flour then mix to combine. Slowly pour in meat stock and cream while continuously stirring.
- SEASON & SIMMER. Add mushroom, soy sauce, and AJI-SHIO® Pepper. Mix well then simmer until sauce thickens.
- SERVE. Transfer burger patties to a hot sizzling plate then pour the mushroom gravy on top. Serve with chopped spring onion (optional).
Cooking Tips
In making mushroom gravy, slowly add in water and mix continuously ideally with a whisk to achieve a smooth gravy.
